Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme 2014

Fellowship Scheme, and would like to take this opportunity to introduce to
you City University of Hong Kong.

City University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
(HKSAR) is a modern, hi-tech institution committed to providing a quality
learning environment for its students and the community.  It has a vibrant
research culture and has gained a good reputation for research and
innovation in a wide range of disciplines.  It has an outstanding team of
academics undertaking applied research dedicated to advancing knowledge to
benefit society and the region. According to the latest league tables
published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), CityU ranked 12th among the
Asian¡¦s top 100 universities in 2013.

Hong Kong PhD Fellowship, established by The Research Grants Council (RGC)
of the HKSAR, aims at recruiting the best and brightest students in the
world to pursue PhD study in Hong Kong.  The Fellowship provides a
monthly stipend of HK$20,000 (~US$2,600), and conference and
research-related travel allowance of HK$10,000 (~US$1,300) per year for
the awardees for a maximum of three years.  In addition, Fellowship
recipients at CityU will be awarded the ¡§Chow Yei Ching School of
Graduate Studies Entrance Scholarship¡¨, which covers students’ first year
tuition and on-campus hostel accommodation fees.

number by applicants.

Notification of results by the RGC
