“Russia-Far East” International Summer School

The administration of our University, students and teachers are pleased to welcome you at the Far Eastern Federal University to participate in the 3rd International Summer School “Russia – Far East” 2015! This year we are offering two programs of 3 weeks intensive training. The program “Russian Language and Culture”, developed by the Center for Russian Language and Culture will help you immerse yourself in an intensive study of Russian language, to learn the culture and traditions of Russia and Primorsky Krai.

The program “Russian domestic and foreign policy with a focus on the Northeast Asia”, developed by the School of International and Regional Studies offers a unique series of lectures and seminars on Russian foreign policy in Northeast Asia. Our summer school also provides a good opportunity to combine a summer vacation on the beautiful Russky island with active training, to explore the Far East Russia and learn the cultural traditions of our country. We sincerely hope that you will have an unforgettable time during the summer school and that interesting activities and contact with new friends will bring you a lot of bright emotions and pleasant experiences.

After obtaining a visa, please inform us about your date and time of arrival to Vladivostok.

Application

Follow materials to be submitted via e-mail:

  • Motivation letter (in English or Russian)
  • Completed application form (download)
  • CV (in English or Russian)
  • Scanned copy of foreign travel passport (valid for at least 6 month beyond stay)

Arrival

Please send us the completed arrival form until July 28.
Recommended arrival dates are August 8 and August 9.
Pick up service is available just during recommended arrival dates.
Recommended time of arrival is between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, no pick up service after 10:00 PM is available.

Visa formalities

For visiting Russia it’s necessary to have the Russian visa. No visa can be obtained in the airport by arrival to Russia. To obtain the visa one can apply to the nearest Russian embassy or consulate.

Important documents for obtaining student’s visa:

  • Original signed passport valid for at least 6 months beyond stay.

Your passport must have at least 1 clear blank visa page available for the visa stamp(s).

  • Official Invitation issued by the Russian Federal Immigration Service. 

In order to get it you will need to submit your data to the FEFU (see “Applications procedure”). FEFU Academic mobility office will take care of all the formalities. We will submit all of your data to the immigration officials and have your student invitation ready in about 30 to 90 days. After that, we will send you the original invitation by mail. After obtaining a visa, please inform us about your date and time of arrival to Vladivostok.
