About ICOBIRD 2012
The First International Conference on Business, International Relations, and Diplomacy (ICOBIRD) 2012 takes place on November 7, 2012 at Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta, Indonesia. The new initiative by Department of International Relations Bina Nusantara University is to bring the integrated study of business, international relations, and diplomacy into more comprehensive study across disciplines.
With the theme: “Contemporary International Relations: An Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Context”, this conference underlines the growing importance and significance roles of ASEAN in international affairs particularly in Asia. ASEAN has transformed into a legally-binding community and become one of the most dynamic regions in the world, not only from economic but also from political and socio-cultural perspectives.
This conference presents 27 papers that comprises of 13 papers from International Relations discipline and 14 papers from Business and Management discipline. The eight papers are authored by faculty members from international and national prominent universities while nineteen papers are wrote by faculty members of Bina Nusantara University.
Keynote speakers and plenary session speakers as well as eminent persons provide a valuable platform to be elaborated in parallel sessions of the Conference Tracks:

This conference is hosted by Department of International Relations Bina Nusantara University in collaboration with Doctoral Research Management Bina Nusantara University and supported by Association of Indonesia’s International Relations Scholars (AIHII) and Association of Indonesia’s Private Universities (APTISI).
