Economic and Business Issues

ASEAN Economic Community seeks to establish a single market and production base and to accelerate economic integration in the region. However, efforts to reach those goals were also challenged by several economic issues, mainly on the context of economic development gap among its member countries. In addition, challenges and opportunities also come from economic expansions of East Asia countries in Southeast Asia region. Japan, South Koreas, China and Taiwan compete each other to enlarge their market and investment activities in Southeast Asia.
