International Relations’ Global Class Gathering

BINUS ALAM SUTERA – Last Saturday, 15 July 2023, The International Relations Global Class Gathering was held at Binus University, Alam Sutera Campus. This social gathering for current and former students of the BINUS University’s International Relations Global Class major aimed to be a platform for students and graduates to connect and come together, encouraging them to get to know one another better and share experiences, particularly in intergenerational bonds. Also, it strengthens connections of BINUS International Relations Global Class students across batches and generations and allows them to expand their networks. With the framework of a non-formal gathering event, it could serve as an event where BINUS International Relations Global Class students can refresh themselves from their everyday routines and encourage themselves to strive for better in life.

This gathering was held successfully from 10 am to 2 pm and attended by approximately 75 participants, including lecturers and students of BINUS Global Class International Relations classes of B20, B21, B22, B23, B24, B25, and B26. The event started with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Tirta Nugraha Mursitama, Ph.D., Mr. Rangga Aditya, S.Sos., M.Si, Ph.D., and Ms. Paramitaningrum, Ph.D., as the representative of BINUS University International Relations major, and followed by a group photo session in front of the BINUS logo in the main lobby. After the opening ceremony,  the games began, and participants split into multiple groups named after International Relations courses. This game session itself wielded a special prize for the winner, and as such, participants played excitedly. Once the games had ended, all the participants took a lunch break to replenish their energy for the rest of the event.

After the lunch break, everyone gathered again for an announcement of the winner of the games. Every group came close to winning the prize, but only one group, International Politics and Economics’ achieved the highest score.  Next is a sharing session from the alumni regarding their experience after graduating from International Relations, in which they discussed their jobs and how they achieved them. Finally, the event ended with one big photoshoot of everyone participating and a photo shoot of every International Relations Global Class batch.
