FPCI Chapter BINUS Hosts “Tea Time with Ambassador” with the Danish Embassy
Jakarta – On October 21st, FPCI Chapter BINUS hosted its annual Tea Time with Ambassador event. This program is for BINUS University students, especially those in International Relations. It aims to foster critical thinking. Furthermore, it creates an interactive dialogue on pressing global issues. This platform connects members with speakers from friendly nations’ embassies.
This year, FPCI Chapter BINUS visited the Embassy of Denmark. Twenty-nine members participated in the visit. The discussion was titled, “The Nordic Welfare Model and Social Policies.” It focused on universal access, egalitarianism, and sustainability. The session gave participants insights into the Danish welfare approach. The principles discussed are key pillars for a balanced, inclusive society.

The event featured H.E. Mr. Sten Frimodt Nielsen, the Ambassador of Denmark to Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, and ASEAN. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Paramitaningrum, Deputy Head of the Global Class Program, Department of International Relations at BINUS. Ambassador Nielsen detailed Denmark’s social policies and shared personal insights. He illustrated how Denmark effectively balances economic growth with a strong commitment to social welfare.
The discussion flowed smoothly, giving students firsthand perspectives on a globally acclaimed social policy model. Tea Time with Ambassador remains a hallmark event for FPCI Chapter BINUS, successfully bridging students with influential voices on the world stage.
