Description of the INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT Track at IcoBird 2012

As the preparation to embrace the forthcoming ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) implementation in 2015 is taking momentum, researchers in business and management are expected to dwell on some imminent, high priority AEC issues such as (a) a single market and production base, (b) highly competitive economic region, (c) a region of equitable economic development and (d) a region fully integrated in the global economy. AEC eventually shall transform ASEAN into a region with free movement of goods, services, investment, skilled labor and freer flow of capital. How Indonesia,currently  the 16^th largest economy and is expected to be the 7^th largest in the world by 2030, is addressing those issues and taking up business opportunities arising from the AEC implementation and beyond, is very crucial and could not be overstated.
