About Rhevy
Rhevy A. Putra is a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Bina Nusantara University (BINUS). His expertise is in international politics, ASEAN studies, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At BINUS University, Rhevy connects theory and practice, helping students understand the complexity of global and regional issues.
Education Background
Rhevy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Universitas Indonesia in 2010, writing a thesis on democracy in the Middle East. In 2013, he received the Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI–LPDP) to pursue graduate studies abroad.
He completed his Master’s in International Political Economy at Newcastle University, United Kingdom (2014), with research on the role of transnational corporations (TNCs) in development. Supported again by LPDP, he earned his Doctoral degree in 2022, focusing on political finance in emerging democracies, with Indonesia as the main case.
Academic Work and Research
Since joining BINUS University, Rhevy has developed strong contributions in both teaching and research. His current projects cover foreign policy, international politics, ASEAN integration, and SDG-related governance. Moreover, he investigates how political finance shapes democratic institutions in Southeast Asia.
In addition, Rhevy actively connects academic research with public debate, aiming to influence both policymakers and the broader community. His teaching style emphasizes critical thinking, encouraging students to link international politics with real-world challenges.
