About Mutiara

Mutiara Indriani is a researcher and lecturer in international relations at Bina Nusantara University.

Mutiara obtained M.A. in International Relations at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and B.Sc. in Health, Environment and Life Sciences at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan. She has taught multinational corporations’ global strategy and social responsibility, international organization, international political economy, and a wide range of other subjects, including non-traditional issues in international relations. Her research interests span the fields of democracy, public health, nationalism, diplomacy, and ASEAN.

Mutiara received Nuffic Neso StuNed Scholarship, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Scholarship, Japan MEXT Honors Scholarship, and AFS Bina Antar Budaya Scholarship for her academic achievement. She had worked with think tanks, NGOs, intergovernmental organizations, and the private sector both in the West and the East, also at the interface of research and decision-making supporting senior executives to navigate political landscape and public affairs strategy. She speaks English, Bahasa Indonesia, Italian, Japanese, and French.
