 Each year Student Cinematography Scholarship Award is offered by Kodak for university or college students of cinematography at the undergraduate or graduate levels in a degree or diploma program. Each award will include a cash tuition prize along with KODAK Film Product grants to assist recipients with future projects. Each institution may nominate one student each year for the award. Nominees will be evaluated solely on the quality of their cinematography skills. For applying to this award, entries must be postmarked by May 17, 2013.

Course Level: The scholarship is for university or college students of cinematography at the undergraduate or graduate levels in a degree or diploma program.

Eligibility: –Entries must be completed works that communicate a story or theme in some fashion — no clips or short vignettes.
-Eligible institutions are colleges and universities in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belize, Benelux, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Guyana, Haiti, Hungary, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of eligible colleges and universities in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belize, Benelux, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Guyana, Haiti, Hungary, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela can apply for the scholarship.

Scholarship Description: Once again there will be a Student Cinematography Scholarship Award, in addition to a Student Scholarship Award. Each award will include a cash tuition prize along with KODAK Film Product grants to assist recipients with future projects. Participating worldwide colleges and universities that offer a degree or diploma program in film, film production, or cinematography may nominate up to two students each year for consideration for the KODAK Student Scholarship Award and one cinematography student each year for consideration for the KODAK Student Cinematography Scholarship Award. The cinematography student nominee may also be nominated for the KODAK Student Scholarship Award.

Number of award(s): Each institution can nominate one cinematography student each year for consideration for the KODAK Student Cinematography Scholarship Award.

What does it cover? Each award will include a cash tuition prize along with KODAK Film Product grants to assist recipients with future projects.
-First Place: $3,000 Scholarship Tuition Award and $5,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grant
-Honorable Mention: $1,500 Scholarship Tuition Award and $3,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grant.

Selection Criteria: Nominees will be evaluated solely on the quality of their cinematography skills.

Notification: Award announcement will be in August 2013.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is by post. A DVD must be submitted with paperwork. Incomplete applications will be disqualified.

Scholarship Application Deadline: Entries must be postmarked by May 17, 2013.
