Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and Young Leadership Program

Jakarta – International Relations Department proudly hosted a visit from Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF) on Friday, 15 February, 2019. On this visit, Yuri Baral as Program Manager of Taiwan-Asian Young Leaders Engagement delivered speech on Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and prospect of exchanges among Asian youth. On his presentation, Mr. Baral mentioned six potential cooperation that has been established between Indonesia and Taiwan: education, public health, agriculture, micro and small medium enterprises, tourism, and technology innovation. Furthermore, he also elaborated on TAEF several programs that could be utilized by the Indonesian youth and scholar.

On this remarkable visit, the International Relations Department was presented by several faculty members who have research interest on Taiwan and earn Higher Degree of Education from Taiwan. In addition, this event also invites students from IR Department. These students were keen to join leadership exchanges program that was offered by TAEF. This visit is actually marked a good relationship between International Relations Department of BINUS University and TAEF as part of university-think tank collaboration and exchange.
